Saturday Night Live’s April 1 episode took a dig at the J6 Prison Choir whose song, Justice For All, has been played throughout Donald Trump’s election campaign.
Former United States President Donald Trump was the hot topic on this week’s SNL. Trump became the focus of this week’s Cold Open segment following his indictment on March 30.

But Saturday Night Live couldn’t address the criminal charges against Donald Trump without bringing up the J6 Prison Choir.
James Austin Johnson came on the screens portraying Donald Trump for the music-focused spoof for the cold open of “Saturday Night Live.”
“It’s me, hi. I’m the problem,” Trump played by Johnson said, in a nod to Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero.” “Well, folks, I got indicted. Or as I spell it, indicated.”

“It’s time I come clean and admit I broke the law and go quietly to prison,” Trump said before pausing. “April Fools!” he said.
Despite his legal woes, Trump soon turned to music for fundraising.

What is J6 Prison Choir?
J6 Prison Choir is a musical collaboration between Donald Trump and a group of men who were convicted after they participated in the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
The track includes the group singing The Star-Spangled Banner from jail before it climaxes with the prisoners chanting “USA! USA!”. The song sold 22,500 digital downloads within 11 days of its release, according to a music analytics firm.

Justice For All by Trump and the J6 Prison Choir was released on March 3. The song reached No. 1 on iTunes’ top songs on March 11.
The Justice For All song has the performance of the national anthem interrupted by clips of the 45th President reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

According to a CNN report, the J6 Prison Choir requested that Trump record his part for their upcoming track. Out of support for those in prison, the former president agreed and recorded the audio at his Mar-a-Lago residence.
