The Nathan%u2019s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual American hot dog competitive eating competition held every year on the Fourth of July at Nathan%u2019s Famous Corporation%u2019s original. Joey Chesnut holds the world record of eating 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes, he broke his previous record of eating 75 hot dogs and buns in 10 mins to win the 14th men%u2019s Nathan%u2019s Hot Dog Eating contest on Sunday.

The annual Fourth of July normally happens outside Nathan%u2019s shop in Brooklyn%u2019s Coney Island neighborhood but last year the event took place at a private location due to COVID 19 restrictions. This year amid coronavirus restrictions, the competition took place in a minor league baseball stadium, Maimonides Park, with 5,000 spectators.

This year Michelle Lesco won her first Nathan%u2019s Famous Women%u2019s championship by consuming g30 � hot dogs and buns in 10 mins to hold off Sarah Rodriguez. The women%u2019s champion and record holder Miki Sudo skipped this year%u2019s competition as she is expecting a baby in a few weeks. The competition airs live at noon on ESPN and this year%u2019s one-hour episode marks the 18th consecutive year ESPN has televised the event. 

For the second year in a row, ESPN commentator Mike Golic Jr. will play-by-play of the eating competition, while longtime MLE chairman George Shea is set to host the stage show for the historic contest.

Reigning champion Miki Sudo has won the competition seven times, she set the world record last year with 481/2 hot dogs. She will join Golic and Shea in the booth for the Women%u2019s competition. 

Nathan%u2019s Famous Hot dogs competition is about eating as many hot dogs and buns as you can in ten minutes only. And Chestnut set a new world record by eating 76 hot dogs. Last year he ate 75 hot dogs in 10 minutes, beating his own 2018 record of eating 74 hot dogs.
