At least five people were shot in front of a home in Wheeling, Illinois, early Saturday morning, following an argument that took place at a restaurant in neighboring Prospect Heights, Chicago Tribune reported.
Wheeling police responded to the residence in the 800 block of Fletcher Drive around 5am on Saturday after receiving reports of a shooting.

Responding officers found five people with gunshot wounds and rushed them to local hospitals for treatment. The victims were between the ages of 28 and 30. Their condition was not known.
Meanwhile, preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting was sparked by an disagreement that took place at a restaurant in neighboring Prospect Heights.

No information was released regarding the suspect and no one was taken into custody as of Saturday afternoon. The Wheeling Police Department were investigating the incident.
Investigators have found several bullet casings on the sidewalk.

A neighbor told ABC 7 that he heard the shots.
“Just before 4 o’clock in the morning I heard rapid fire gunshots. I thought it might have been just a kid next door popping up some rounds,” he told the outlet.
“About five minutes later the fire department rolled up, the police rolled up and five ambulances rolled up just to find out it was a drive by shooting,” he added.
