Who are Rex Englebert, Michael Collazo?
Rex Englebert and Michael Collazo are officers who fired and killed the Covenant School murder suspect Audrey Hale in March 2023.
According to Fox17 News, Hale was shot and killed by officers Rex Englebert and Michael Collazo just 14 minutes after the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department received the original report about shots fired. Collazo and Englebert did not establish a boundary and simply wait for an hour, in contrast to Uvalde.
After breaking into the Presbyterian private school’s entryway, Hale is accused of murdering six people, including three nine-year-old kids. According to authorities, Hale attended the institution in the past.
Englebert and Collazo were praised for their bravery on social media by users who called them “great Americans” for averting “an even larger tragedy.”
When officers came on the scene, Hale allegedly fired at police cars from the second story of the structure. Hale had three firearms and “significant ammunition,” according to the cops.
