A World Health Organisation (WHO) expert, who went to China to
investigate the COVID-19, has headed home along with his team with only few answers
about the outbreak of the pandemic. He criticised the US intelligence about coronavirus that tightened restrictions in some of the hardest-hit nations
across the world.  The special WHO mission to the
ground zero city Wuhan concluded on Tuesday without any specific answers of
coronavirus with Washington’s suspicion on the transparency of the
investigation along with China’s cooperation with WHO, reported AFP.

Washington and Beijing have indulged in an intense diplomatic broil after COVID-19 infected around 107
million people and ruined the global economy. China has been also questioned over
the handling of the initial outbreak in central
China.

Meanwhile, a WHO team member Peter
Daszak revealed on Wednesday that US intelligence on the supposed origin of the
COVID-19 was unreliable. He tweeted, “President
Joe Biden has to look tough on
China. Please don’t rely too much on US intel: increasingly disengaged under
Trump & frankly wrong on many aspects.”

He also tweeted that they worked “flat out under the
most politically charged environment possible”.

However, China has always denied the lack of transparency. Beijing warned
Washington not to “politicise” the WHO mission after the White House
demanded a “robust” investigation, reported AFP.

US State Department spokesman Ned Price told that the White House
“clearly support this investigation”, but also criticised China for
hiding information. He was also asked whether China had completely cooperated
with the WHO team, to which Price replied “I think the
jury’s still out.”
