A University of Chicago employee was caught tearing down posters of Israeli children kidnapped by Hamas. The man has been identified as Bentley Wall.
The video of the incident went viral on social media where he can be seen tearing down posters and when confronted he replied, “I don’t care.”

Who is Bentley Wall?
Bentley Wall is an employee at the University of Chicago. As per the University’s directory, Wall is the building and lab manager at the Gordon Center for Integrative Science at the James Franck Institute.
He was caught on camera and the video of the incident went viral on social media. Wall faced severe criticism on social media and several users reacted to the surfaced video and expressed their anger and disappointment.
One user reacting to the video wrote, “These antisemites are going to learn that they have mistaken Jewish kindness for weakness. We’re going to show the world Jewish Power! Am Yisrael Chai!”

“University of Chicago, please suspend or fire Bentley Wall for removing posters of kidnapped civilians” another user wrote demanding his termination from the University for his actions.
One user tweeted, “Yet another anti-jewish person. The hate in them is over flowing. This unwanted hate should stop and sense prevail.”
Anti-Semitic incidents and acts of hatred directed towards Jews have significantly increased in the US and around the world in the wake of the October 7 tragedy and in the midst of the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel. According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), anti-Semitic occurrences in the US spiked by almost 400% in the first two weeks after the Middle East crisis, which was sparked by a Hamas attack on Israel, began.

Following the October 7 tragedy and the ongoing confrontation between Israel and Hamas, antisemitism prosecutions have surged globally.
The spokesperson for Israel’s Foreign Ministry, Lior Haiat, stated in a written statement that “the official number of victims of the October 7 massacre is approximately 1,200.”
