Cody Wiggins, a 29-year-old Florida high school teacher at West Florida High School in Pensacola, is the person suspected of shooting his wife and brother-in-law during a Franklin wedding over the weekend.
In response to the accusations of attempted homicide about the shooting, Wiggins has been suspended, according to school officials, who have also verified his employment.

In Franklin, the gunshot event happened around 9:30 p.m. Franklin Police reported that the attacker had already left the site when they arrived. The two victims received rapid assistance from the police. After leaving the hotel, the gunman was eventually found on foot in a nearby community. The suspect was apprehended by law enforcement and placed under custody.
Keith Leonard, the interim superintendent of the Escambia County School District, stated that the teacher had been suspended immediately due to her compliance with Florida law and contractual obligations. The district intends to assist law enforcement during the current inquiry.

Wiggins is accused of two counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated domestic assault, and tampering with evidence. He was captured on Saturday night in a nearby community. Wiggins is being held at the Williamson County Jail as of the most recent update.
