Colin Jost and her wife Scarlett Johansson welcomed
their first child, today. Jost shared the news through his Instagram handle, “OK
OK we had a baby. His name is Cosmo. We love him very much,” Jost shared
on Instagram. He requested privacy and jokingly added, “For all inquiries
please contact our publicist @chethinks”.
Who is Colin Jost?
Colin Jost is an actor, writer, and comedian. He was born
and reared on Staten Island, New York, and attended private school in Manhattan
before graduating from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree. Jost was
the president of The Harvard Lampoon, the university’s notorious comedy
journal, during his student years.
Jost joined Saturday Night Live as a writer in 2005. From 2012 to 2015, he rose swiftly through the ranks of the variety comedy program, acting as co-head writer. Jost took over as the “Weekend
Update” anchor when Seth Meyers departed SNL to host “Late Night with
Seth Meyers” in 2014.

He was eventually joined by Michael Che, and the two are
now the longest-serving “Weekend Update” anchors in the show’s history, as of
2019. For his work on “SNL,” he has received five Writers Guild
Awards, two Peabody Awards, and has been nominated for 12 Emmy Awards.
Jost also wrote and acted in the Paramount/Netflix
picture “Staten Island Summer.” It is based on his days as a
lifeguard. A Very Punchable Face, his memoir, was released in July 2020.

Colin and Johansson met on the set of Saturday Night Live in
2006, when Johansson was hosting for the first time and Jost had just joined
the program as a writer. They made their relationship public for the first
time in 2017 at the America Museum of Natural History Gala. After dating for
two years, they got engaged in 2019 and married in October 2020.
