Dak Prescott is an NFL player who plays as a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and was a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

He played college football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs before being selected by the Cowboys in 2016.

Prescott was born on July 29, 1993, in Sulphur, Louisiana, United States to parents Nathaniel Prescott and Peggy Prescott.

Football runs in the Prescott family. His father was a defensive end and linebacker at Grambling State.

Dak’s mother, who he was extremely close to, was an ardent football fan and used to inspire her sons to develop the same fascination for the game.

She passed away during Dak’s sophomore year due to colon cancer in November 2013.

Dak has set several rookie quarterback records and was also named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

The Dallas quarterback has 1,386 passing yards, 13 total touchdowns, three interceptions and 56.6 Total QBR through the first five weeks of the 2021 season, helping the Cowboys be one of the top teams in the NFC after a long time.

With a talented bunch surrounding him, Prescott has been enabled to throw at least three touchdown passes four times this season.

Thanks to Prescott, Dallas are  10th in passing yards, second in completion percentage and tied for third in passing touchdowns.

Prescott is not only in the running for the MVP but also NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award after a severe ankle injury ruined most of his 2020 season.
