As per police reports, Investigators have reported that more than two weeks after the shooting, Deronke Rashad Barron, the suspect in the downtown St. Petersburg shooting that injured seven people, turned himself into police. 

Barron turned himself into the Pinellas Jail on Tuesday afternoon. He is currently being charged with several offenses, such as discharging a firearm in public and carrying a hidden weapon, according to St. Pete Police Department officials.

Who is Deronke Rashad Barron?

Deronke Rashad Barron is 20 years old. He turned himself into the Pinellas Jail on Tuesday afternoon. He is currently being charged with several offenses, such as discharging a firearm in public and carrying a hidden weapon, according to St. Pete Police Department officials.

Barron got into a fight with other individuals on the sidewalk in downtown St. Petersburg at 3rd Street North and Central Avenue. This incident happened on Saturday, October 7 at approximately 12:45 a.m.

After the incident, shots were fired in the vicinity, inflicting minor injuries on two men and two women as well as three men who suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to their legs.

Photos from the night of the shooting were made public, and Barron was recognized as the culprit. After weeks without an arrest being made in relation to the incident, this development has occurred.

According to police reports, Deronke Rashad Barron, the suspect in the gunshot that wounded seven persons in downtown St. Petersburg, turned himself in to police more than two weeks after the incident. On Tuesday afternoon, he turned himself into the Pinellas Jail. Officials from the St. Pete Police Department say that he is currently facing charges related to carrying a concealed weapon and firing a handgun in public.

At the intersection of 3rd Street North and Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg, Barron got into a brawl with a few other people.
