Who is Erick Aguirre?

Erick Aguirre is a 29-year-old Texas man who has been charged with the murder of 46-year-old Elliot Nix.

A probable cause affidavit states that Nix stopped Aguirre and his date after they had parked their cars close to the eatery in downtown Houston and informed them that parking their cars would cost them $20 each.

After paying the sum, Aguirre discovered from a worker at the restaurant that Nix wasn’t responsible for the parking area and that they had been duped by him.

However, instead of requesting his $40 back, Aguirre reportedly walked to his car, pulled his gun, and fatally shot the man, 46-year-old Elliot Nix. After that, Aguirre went back to the eatery to finish his dinner.

Upon re-entering the Rodeo Goat restaurant from the parking area, Aguirre allegedly told the woman that “everything was fine” and that he had simply scared the other man. According to court documents, they then made their way to a seat but turned around to eat somewhere else when Aguirre began to feel uneasy.

Two days after police posted images of the pair, who had been identified by reports to Crime Stoppers, Aguirre’s date reached out to the authorities.

Police were able to capture Aguirre on Tuesday in Aransas County, Texas, owing to her conversation with the authorities. Murder charges have been brought against Aguirre after his extradition to Harris County, Texas. He might receive a life sentence if found guilty.

At a hearing in court on Thursday, April 27, Aguirre’s bail was set at $200,000. His lawyer, Brent Mayr, has not yet made any remarks about the event.
