Fennec Shand, who features in the latest Star Wars spinoff series ‘The Book of Boba Fett’, is a bounty hunter and elite combat assassin who climbed up to the top during the start of the Galactic Empire’s reign. After the empire fell, Fennec went into hiding. Captured, she was shot and left abandoned in a desert. It was only when Boba Fett revived Fennec by implanting a device into her that the duo became strong allies.
Even though Fennec and Boba were initially supporting characters, the two partnered up and became the key characters in The Book of Boba Fett, which recently premiered on Disney+ Hotstar.

Fennec is skilled and merciless, and has worked for top syndicates during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Her earliest bounties include a commission for Omega, a young clone. Even though she failed to capture the clone, Fennec still managed to become an elite assassin. After the imprisonment of her employers, Fennec was left as a fugitive on the run.
The hitwoman made her debut in ‘Mandalorian’, as a ruthless assassin who won’t think twice about killing a child. She has also appeared in the animated series ‘Star Wars: Clone Wars’ and ‘The Bad Batch’.
Apart from her combat skills, Fennec also kills by manipulation and craftiness. Despite her shrewdness, she continues to have honour, integrity, and undying loyalty for Boba Fett, who she is indebted to for saving her life.

Despite the outward ruthlessness, Fennec also has a soft interior, that is seen when she sets a female slave free from the shackles in Jabba’s palace.
Formerly portrayed in negative light as an antagonist, Fennec continues to be one of the most skilled assassins in the Star Wars universe.
The Book of Boba Fett will focus on Boba and Fennec as powerful allies, and viewers are in for a ride as they see the duo’s dynamics unfold.
