Who is Maisy Biden?
Maisy Biden, born in 2001, is the third and youngest daughter of Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden. She has been a prominent member of the Biden family and has lived a life that has been both private and public.
Growing up in Washington, D.C., Maisy attended Sidwell Friends School, where she shared a close friendship with Sasha Obama, former President Barack Obama’s daughter. They not only attended the same school but also played on the same basketball team in fourth grade, a team that went undefeated. Barack Obama even coached the team, and Maisy was regarded as a star player.
After completing her high school education, Maisy continued the family legacy by attending the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 2023. She followed her older sisters, Naomi and Finnegan, who had also attended the same university. During her time at college, Maisy was actively involved in student activities, including advocating for the extension of deadlines for pass/fail classes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Maisy’s connection to her grandfather, Joe Biden, extended beyond family gatherings. She accompanied him on various political visits to countries like China, Germany, and, in May 2023, Britain. During their visit to London, she joined her grandmother, Jill Biden, in honoring King Charles’ coronation.
In 2023, the Biden family celebrated Maisy’s graduation, with Joe, Hunter, Jill, and Ashley Biden attending the ceremony. Following the event, the family enjoyed a meal at a Vietnamese restaurant, celebrating Maisy’s academic achievement.
