Isabella Pollok, a former Sarah Lawrence College student, pleaded guilty in the Lawrence ‘Larry’ Ray sex cult case in September last year. On Friday, Larry was sentenced to 60 years in prison. 

Manhattan federal judge Lewis Liman described Ray as an ‘evil genius’. He has been accused of sexually, psychologically and emotionally manipulating his daughter Talia’s classmates. 

Pollok pleaded guilty to a single money laundering conspiracy count. She admitted to her role in the sex-trafficking scheme.

Who is Isabella Pollok?

Isabella Pollok has been described as Larry Ray’s top lieutenant. She is 31 years old. She is a former Sarah Lawrence College student. 

She is the daughter of Cynthia Pollok. Pollok is scheduled to be sentenced on February 22, 2023, at 11 am. She was indicted by federal prosecutors in 2021 for allegedly conspiring with convicted sex-cult leader Larry Ray to prey on others at Sarah Lawrence College, a small liberal arts school in Westchester County.

According to charging documents, Pollok was accused of helping Ray lead an “enterprise [which] targeted a group of college students… for indoctrination and criminal exploitation.”

She met Ray in 2010 when he got out of prison in New Jersey and went straight to Sarah Lawrence College, where his daughter, Talia, was enrolled and Pollok was also a student. Over the next decade, she was among a group of Talia’s friends and roommates who fell under the influence of Ray.

By the time, Pollok emerged as, Ray’s “trusted lieutenant” helping him sexually and psychologically manipulate her friends and roommates, first as he gained their trust and then as he exploited them. He used cult-leader tactics while threatening and assaulting the young people and demanding they provide him with payment of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
