A former member of the Trump administration, Ivanka Trump had made a name for herself much before she joined the government. A successful businesswoman, Ivanka Trump had also served as the director of the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship. She also became the first Jewish member of a first family when her father, Donald Trump, became the US President.

Similar to her mother, Ivana Trump, she was associated with her family-owned The Trump Organization, where she worked as the executive vice president. As the news of her mother’s death spread in the world, people are also wondering about who is Ivanka, who was named after her mother, Ivana.

Born on October 30, 1981 in New York City to Donald and Ivana Trump, Ivanka was named as Ivana Marie Trump. However, according to her, she is mostly called by her nickname but is actually named after her mother.

“In Czech, Ivanka is the baby name for Ivana, like Bobby is to Robert,” she wrote on Twitter in 2010.

Ivanka began her education at the Christ Church and the Chapin School in Manhattan. At 15, she changed her school to Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut, which was also attended by former US President John F. Kennedy.

Following her graduation from Choate Rosemary Hall, she attended Georgetown University before transferring to Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She studied economics at the university, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2004.

She married Jared Kushner, a businessman, in 2009.

Following graduation, she began her career at Forest City Enterprises before joining The Trump Organization in 2005. In the subsequent years, she pursued several business opportunities, even applying for 36 trademarks in China in 2016.

Ivanka closed down her clothing line business to focus on her role at the White House in 2018.

The 40-year-old was a staunch supporter of her father’s presidential campaign and was an integral part of it. She is also a philanthropist, and is associated with several charities like Chai Lifelife, United Hatzalah.
