Jason Dare, a New Jersey State Police trooper, went missing after he walked away from a medical facility in Media, Pennsylvania at around 6:50 PM on Sunday, according to authorities.

The search for the missing state trooper in on its fourth day, as of Thursday.

“The New Jersey State Police and the Pennsylvania State Police are seeking the public’s assistance with locating missing and endangered person, Jason Dare, 46, of Cumberland, NJ,” the New Jersey State Police tweeted.

Who is Jason Dare?

The New Jersey State Police confirmed that Jason Dare is 46 years old. He is a native of Cumberland and is 6 feet tall. He weighs approximately 180 pounds.

Authorities further add that a video of him walking out of the hospital showed him wearing a black Carhart jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and eyeglasses. He was last seen near Penn State’s Brandywine, Pennsylvania campus near the intersection of Route 352 and Yearsley Mill Road in Middle Township, Delaware County.

There is a LinkedIn profile for a Vineland man named Jason Dare. He has worked in law enforcement for years. Dare, also 46, started with state police in 2004, according to his LinkedIn page.

Several social media users commented below State Police’s Facebook post on the search for Dare.

“Praying for you Jason and your family and hope you get back to those who love you safely,” one Facebook user said.

His step-mother, Donna Dare, also posted a request, asking people to pray for his safe return.
