A man named Jeremy David Hanson sent hate messages
to Marriam-Webster dictionary’s employees after the dictionary added gender neutral
pronouns and adjectives. Hanson pled guilty to making threats in writing as
part of a plea agreement on Wednesday, prosecutors told NBC News.

Hanson sent several threatening messages to
Marriam-Webster dictionary website’s contact portal. The Marriam-Webster dictionary
defines ‘female’ as “having a gender identity opposite of male.” On this entry,
Hanson commented that the dictionary’s definition of the word ‘female’ is
anti-science propaganda.

He then went on to say: “It is absolutely sickening
that Marriam-Webster now tells blatant lies and promotes anti-science propaganda.
There is no such thing as ‘gender identity’. The imbecile who wrote this entry
should be hunted down and shot,” according to examples cited by the US Attorney’s
office.

Prosecutors say Hanson also sent a message through
the website’s contact portal which said: “It would be poetic justice to have
someone storm your offices and shoot up the place, leaving none of you commies
alive.” He followed up with threats to shoot up and bomb Marriam-Webster’s
offices, prosecutors say.

Jeremy David Hanson took exception to the manner in
which Marriam-Webster defined the words: ‘Female’, ‘woman’ and ‘girl’. In a
message Hanson sent to Marriam-Webster, he says: “You [sic] headquarters should
be shot up and bombed. It is sickening that you have caved to the cultural
Marxist, anti-science tyranny [sic] agenda and altered the definition of ‘female’
as part of the Left’s efforts to corrupt and degrade the English language and
deny reality.”

“You evil Marxists should all be killed. It would
be poetic justice to have someone storm your offices and shoot up the place,
leaving none of you commies alive,” Hanson wrote further.
