Jesse Lee Calhoun has emerged as the person of interest in the deaths of four women whose bodies were discovered during the winter and spring in Oregon.

The revelation came from the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office, as multiple sources from different agencies confirmed Calhoun’s potential involvement in these gruesome murders, Koin reported.

Who is Jesse Lee Calhoun?

Jesse Lee Calhoun is a 38-year-old man with a criminal history.

According to records from the Department of Corrections, Calhoun faced several charges in 2019, including three counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle, one count of assaulting a public safety officer, and one count of first-degree burglary. These offenses alone hint at a pattern of criminal behavior that demands close scrutiny.

As of now, the details surrounding Calhoun’s connection to the four deaths remain shrouded in mystery.

In the midst of an attempt to apprehend Calhoun for the outstanding warrants in 2019, the situation escalated dramatically. SWAT teams descended upon his residence, only to be met with resistance.

Calhoun then physically confront law enforcement, choking a K9 officer and repeatedly kicking another officer. This violent altercation only added to his already extensive rap sheet and painted a vivid picture of a dangerous and volatile individual.

Initially, Calhoun’s projected release date was set for June 2022, despite his history of violence and criminal behavior. However, in 2021, then-governor Kate Brown signed a commutation order aimed at granting clemency to certain prisoners who met specific criteria. Calhoun fell under this umbrella, and he was released on July 22, 2021.

Before his 2019 convictions, Calhoun served time from 2009 through 2011 in Baker County for a fourth-degree assault. The situation took another alarming turn when, on July 3, a request to revoke Calhoun’s commutation status reached Governor Kotek’s office.

As a result, Calhoun is now back in custody and is slated to remain incarcerated until June 9, 2024. However, it is essential to remember that, as of now, he has not been officially charged in connection to the deaths of the four women.
