A missing baby from Kentucky was the subject of the Amber Alert because authorities believed she might be in “great danger.” According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the child was thought to be in the company of her mother.

Jocelyn Lair, who went missing on Friday from Monticello, Kentucky, close to the Tennessee state border, is seven months old, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office had appealed for the public’s assistance in finding her.

According to the police description, the baby weighs 18 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing only a diaper, the police had stated.

According to police, the baby was last seen in a red 2010 Ford Focus with gray/green spray paint on the passenger side, along with her mother Shelley Lair. The vehicle carries the Kentucky license plate BWV609.

Officials believed the child could have been in danger because of “mothers drug use and child past exposure and overdose.” The Department for Community Based Services had an emergency custody order for child.
