Who is Jose Gutierrez?

Jose Gutiérrez is a 36-year-old architect from the Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a Miami University graduate. He flew to Mexico on December 23 to visit his fiancee for Christmas. She lives in Guadalajara.

On December 25, the two, along with her sister and cousin, went to a restaurant for dinner. When they did not return home, their family contacted them. They received a odd text message with an address in response.

Pichardo’s mother quickly reached the address but was stopped by cops, who told her that the area was “too dangerous to visit.” The family never heard from the four again.

“The mother did state, and her specific words were, ‘I know something was not right. She sent this because they felt that they were in danger.’ They (Pichardo’s family) attempted to go on a search of that location, but they were stopped by two officers, two or three officers, and they were not allowed to enter that zone because it was too dangerous,” Gutierrez’s sister, Brandi Gutierrez, said, WLWT reported.

They also found four bodies near the vehicle.
