When Fox News decided to part ways with their prime-time host, Tucker Carlson, they also cut ties with Justin Wells, the senior executive producer of Tucker Carlson Tonight.

According to Daily Mail, Carlson met up with Wells his right-hand man on Tuesday, possibly to discuss future plans after both of them were ousted from the cable network. “FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” Fox News said in a statement on Monday. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

The network did not mention anything about Wells being ousted too.

The exact reason behind Carlson’s departure from Fox News is not clear. According to The Washington Post, the decision is related to Carlson’s comments about Fox News management that surfaced during Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation suit. Los Angeles Times reported, however, the decision might have been based on a former Carlson producer bringing a gender-based discrimination suit and Carlson’s false reporting of the January 6 riot.

Who is Justin Wells?

According to his LinkedIn profile, Wells was the senior executive producer at Tucker Carlson Tonight and vice president of Tucker Carlson Digital Products at Fox News. He has been associated with the show since 2016.
