Alissa Carlson Schwartz, KCAL-CBS’ meteorologist, fainted during a live broadcast on Saturday morning. The Los Angeles-based weather woman had a similar episode in 2014, when she was diagnosed with a leaky hear valve.

Entertainment website TMZ shared the video of the broadcast, where Carlson fainted and collapsed, on their website.

Alissa Carlson Schwartz was helping CBS’ Los Angeles-based KCAL team to kick off their program on weather on Saturday. The 7 AM report was about the incoming rain in the California hub over the next week. The meteorologist collapsed even before the report started.

The moment was caught on camera and the anchors asked for an immediate break.
Carlson’s eyes rolled to the back of her head. She leant forward on the desk and fell down.
Who is Alissa Carlson Schwartz?
Alissa Carlson is the Chief Meteorologist at KGET-TV. She comes from Illinois and grew up in a farm. In 2007, the weather woman moved to Bakersfield and established herself in news.
Carlson’s mother was a journalist. The weather woman earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree at Illinois State University and a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology at Mississippi State University. She worked part-time as a radio DJ on a local AM.
During college, Alissa became one of the youngest TV anchors in the US. She worked in Quad Cities before moving to Greenville, North Carolina and Jacksonville, Florida.
She was awarded with the Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association. In 2010, Alissa won the Mark Twain Award from the Associated Press for Best Weathercast.

Carlson was also Mrs Bakersfield in 2017 and Mrs California the next year, which placed her in the top 15 of Mrs America. She is married to Attorney Neil Schwartz and their wedding was featured in Bakersfield Magazine. They have one daughter and two dogs.
