Kimberlee Guillory has been identified as the lone surviving victim of stabbings near UC Davis in California. The 64-year-old was stabbed by 21-year-old Carlos Dominguez at a homeless encampment on May 1. The suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday.

Who is Kimberlee Guillory?
Guillory was stabbed at an encampment on 2nd and L Streets. She called 911 and told authorities she had been stabbed more than once through a tent. She was admitted to the local hospital and underwent surgery. She is severely wounded but recovering in the hospital.
Dominguez was arrested as the only suspect in all three stabbings on Thursday.
The first two victims, Karim Abou Najm and David Breaux were found dead at Central Park and Sycamore Park. Abou Najm is a 20-year-old UC Davis student.
Guillory’s friend Christine Barrios witnessed her being stabbed and said that she thought at first that Guillory had been punched.

According to police, on Wednesday around 3:20 pm they started receiving several reports of a person matching the description of the suspect in the third stabbing walking in the Sycamore Park area, where the second victim was fatally stabbed and killed.

Officers reached the location and found Dominguez in the area of Pine Lane and Colby Drive. Police said he was carrying a hunting-style knife when he was arrested on Wednesday. Initially, he was held on a weapons charge before he was arrested on two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
The three stabbings within five days had shocked the residents of Davis, where the last reported homicide took place in 2019.

Dominguez shared the house with multiple roommates, neighbors who said they are still processing the news that they had been living with a person who is accused of killing fellow residents.
