A man identified as Mackenzie Watson is being severely criticized on social media for tearing down posters of kidnapped Israelis by Hamas in New York.
He faced harsh criticism for his actions and when confronted about his act, he replied, “I’m proudly writing the death toll of the IDF”

Mackenzie Watson faced harsh criticism on social media after he was caught ripping down posters of kidnapped Israelis by Hamas. Several social media users bashed him on the platform.
One user wrote, “Where does MACKENZIE WATSON work? I don’t want to buy or use a service from a firm that MACKENZIE WATSON works for. I boycott Jew-Hating businesses.”
“From sea to sea, watch Mackenzie Watson immolate his own future for free” another user wrote.
One user tweeted, “No place for antisemitism in a civilised society. Terminate employment contract. Actions have consequences.”

Another user wrote, “Those tearing down posters of hostages brutally taken are performing the same function as Hitler’s and Mussolini’s street operatives in the 30’s.”
There has been a notable increase in anti-Semitic incidents and acts of hate towards Jews in the US and around the world as a result of the October 7 massacre and the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) reports that anti-Semitic incidents in the US increased by approximately 400% in the first two weeks after the Middle East crisis began, which was sparked by a Hamas attack on Israel.

Online anti-Semitic incidents, protesters yelling Hamas slogans, and vandalism at synagogues involving Swastikas have all been reported. There has been a noticeable increase in antisemitic incidents in the US since October 7, when Hamas launched its surprise attack on Israel and started the Gaza Conflict.
