A 4-year-old child was killed in an Osceola County, Florida shooting on Thursday, according to police.
Who is Michael Bragg?
Michael Bragg is the 32-year-old father of a 4-year-old who was fatally shot in his home on Thursday morning. The child was shot in The Oaks Boulevard in Kissimmee.
Police responded to the call just before 10 am. They reached the scene at 9:48 am and found the 4-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his face.
He was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. A witness told authorities that the boy’s father, Michael Bragg was sleeping at the time.
When investigated, Bragg initially informed detectives that he did not possess guns in his house, reported WKMG.
When searched, detectives discovered two firearms in his home. Then, Bragg changed the story to say that he kept the guns for protection.
Michael was arrested and charged with the possession of a firearm by a convicted criminal. Bragg was already prepared for fleeing, according to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department. Bragg was presented before a judge Friday.

“And all my kids are under the age of 7. I have a 4-year-old as well, so I can’t even imagine the thoughts that are probably going the mother’s mind or even the father,” Euyenia Santiago said.
The boy’s father is currently in the Osceola Jail. Kissimmee Police Department was investigating the shooting.
Kissimmee police refused to not commenting on the details of the case because it’s an ongoing investigation.
“I was definitely in shock. This a neighborhood that we’ve been here for a year now and nothing has ever happened in this neighborhood,” Euyenia Santiago, a neighbor, said.
“It’s very scary and very sad because I have 14 (grandchildren) and they all come to my house and play outside,” neighbor Ivelisse Santiago said.
