Morgan Lund, the woman who allegedly stabbed her ex-boyfriend 19 times with scissors in front of their baby daughter, said she was having a dream and saw a “dark, shadowy figure.”
She pleaded not guilty because of insanity for the attempted murder of the father of her child stemming from an early morning incident on February 18.
Responding police officers found a crying woman, identified as Lund, with blood covering both of her legs, feet, forearms, and both sides of her hand and applying pressure to a man’s upper chest or right shoulder, as per the probable cause affidavit.
The victim yelled, “What the f–k is wrong with you? Why in my sleep, bro?” according to the affidavit. She replied, “I thought I saw something,” the affidavit says.

Who is Morgan Lund?
Morgan Lund shares a child with her unidentified ex-boyfriend. The 21-year-old claims she woke at around 6:30 am and took her baby into the living room where she found her ex-partner asleep on the sofa. She left the baby in a playpen before she went back to bed.

According to the court document, “She had a muddled memory of something that might have been a dream, or her imagination, but she thought [the victim] was yelling at their daughter.”
Lund has been hallucinating the figure she allegedly saw for six months but this time it was attacking her ex. She responded by trying to kill the figure but instead was attacking her ex-partner with a pair of scissors.

The victim stated he fought Lund off after awoke which is when she stated that she did not know what was happening and had been dreaming. After the man asked her to get a towel, he recalled her saying ‘something about, ‘I don’t want to lose custody’.
He suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest, back, face, shoulders, and hands and thought he was going to die from his injuries. He alleged this was not the first time he had been violently attacked by his ex-girlfriend and that they were ‘constantly’ arguing.

According to the court documents, “[The victim] stated that throughout their relationship Morgan was very abusive, hitting him on several occasions. He reported that they constantly fight and argue. He stated they argue daily, but [he] shuts the argument down because he does not want to be involved with her any longer. She has threatened him in the past, but has never threatened to kill him as far as he is aware.”

Lund has been directed to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and is now being held on a $250,000 bond on a charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
