Who is Natally Garcia?

Natally Garcia, of Dallas, is a 24-year-old substitute teacher at Kimbrough Middle School. According to reports, she had just been employed by the Mesquite Independent School District since just one month now.

A student’s mom revealed a classroom video that her daughter had taken of Garcia presiding over fights between students who were 12 and 13 years old. The teacher shouted, “I do not want this on record,” and threatened to seize phones as the 13-year-old girl’s camera was filming.

According to the school district, the teacher even “outlined rules for the students to follow and even instructed a student to monitor the classroom door while the fights took place.”

The substitute teacher could be seen watching as two boys and two girls punched each other individually. The fights were in the middle of the classroom, with desks that appeared to have been shoved to the side, and other students could be heard laughing as they witnessed the fights.

The young female teacher announces, “Ten seconds, go” and the two students begin to continually hit each other. They are thrown across the room throughout the brawl and also crash into desks.

A student in the class is then instructed by Garcia to “stand by the door and hold it in case somebody comes in.” She also seems to provide the go-ahead for students to put their phones away. “I mean it, if I see your phone up I will put it to the office,” she says.
