A fatal shooting transpired outside a Terrell nightclub after an altercation erupted inside, according to authorities. Terrell Police responded to a distress call around 2:10 a.m. on Sunday, directing them to the Swingin Door Saloon located at 304 FM 148.
Who is Nichols Longoria?
The initial confrontation reportedly unfolded within the nightclub, involving the suspect, 34-year-old Nichols Longoria, and his girlfriend, who found themselves in a dispute with a group of men. As tensions escalated, the altercation spilled into the parking lot, ultimately resulting in tragedy.

During the heated exchange in the parking lot, Longoria allegedly fired shots, critically injuring 27-year-old Bryan Squires. Emergency services rushed Squires to Baylor Scott & White in Forney, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and tragically lost his life.

Terrell Police conducted thorough interviews with witnesses present during the incident, corroborating that Nichols Longoria was the alleged shooter. Notably, Longoria was taken into custody on Sunday morning, not directly related to the shooting but on unrelated charges. Subsequently, he was charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred outside the nightclub.
