The Houston Police Department has made an arrest in the fatal shooting of rapper Takeoff. Chief Troy Finner said on Friday that Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested in the case on Thursday evening. The 28-year-old rapper was shot and killed following a dispute in a Houston bowling alley on November 1. He was declared dead at the scene. Quavo, Takeoff’s uncle and Migos bandmate was also present during the shooting and could be seen on camera getting into an argument with others before the shots rang out.

Takeoff who was a member of the platinum-selling rap group Migos, died due to “gunshot wounds of head and torso into the arm,” as per a report from the Harris County Medical Examiner. The manner of death was ruled as a homicide.

Police said Takeoff was not part of the altercation, he was not armed and was an innocent bystander who was hit by gunfire. Nearly, 30 people were at the scene when the shooting happened and almost everyone left without giving a statement to the police.

Who is Patrick Xavier Clark?

Patrick Xavier Clark has been charged with murder after being arrested on Thursday, said the Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner in a press conference. He was arrested on the east side of Houston, Texas. He is 33 years old.

Houston Police officer Michael Burrow said investigators used ballistic evidence, physical evidence, and shooting reconstruction to identify Clark as the “lethal shooter in the case.”

According to a TMZ report, prosecutors are asking for Clark’s bail to be set at $1 million. If he is released on bail, prosecutors are asking the judge to place Clark under house arrest. They are also asking for an order that prohibits Clark from talking to Takeoff’s family, J Prince Jr and his family, Shakur Stevenson, and anyone from Shakur’s “place of employment.”
