Rashawn Gaston-Anderson, a serial criminal attempted
to murder an Asian-origin waiter in Las Vegas less than a week after his bail.

Who is Rashawn Gaston-Anderson?

Rashawn Gaston-Anderson went into a restaurant less
than a week after his release and opened fire on Chengyan Wang, an Asian
waiter. He shot him 11 times and brought him near to death. But Wang
surprisingly survived the incident and has filed a lawsuit against The Bail
Project for releasing Gaston Anderson despite his criminal history.

The Bail Project is a non-governmental organisation
working to fund the bail of jailed criminals, whose supporters included
celebrities Richard Branson, Danny Glover, and John Legend. It announced
earlier this month that it was disbanding its Las Vegas chapter due to the case
of Rashawn Gaston-Anderson.

Gaston-Anderson was arrested in November 2021 for
pandering and carrying a concealed weapon, as per court records. In that case,
he was released without paying bail and was warned to stay out of trouble in
the future.

Six days after his release, he shot Chengyan Wang. “I
still remember vividly when the first police officer on the scene immediately
