A local Delphi man has been arrested and charged after a national hunt lasting five and a half years for a suspect in the killings of two Indiana teenagers, according to authorities.

Abigail Williams and Libby German were abducted in February 2017 and their bodies were found a day later. The two girls were aged 13 and 14 respectively.

After five years of investigations, including five persons of interest, one of whom committed suicide, a person has been booked for the murder of the two teenagers.

Who is Richard Allen?

So far, there are little to no details about Richard Allen, the person arrested in connection to the 2017 Delphi murders. However, soon after being moved to the Carroll County Jail, Allen was reportedly moved to a state facility for his safety, according to a report from WRTV Indianapolis. He is 50 years old.

While the case has been continuously investigated, court documents uncovered by the Murder Sheet Podcast found that an FBI agent suspected that there was reason to search the property of Ron Logan, which had already been searched once before back in 2017. The recently uncovered search warrant also provided a full 43 second long audio clip, which included the infamous “down the hill” comment made by the suspected murderer.

The search warrant showed that while the investigating agent believed Logan to be of the same build as the man who appeared in Libby German’s video, the voice did not match. Logan was also never named a suspect or charged with a crime in connection with the Delphi case. Logan has since died.
