Kanye West opted to target Roxie Washington, George Floyd’s ex-girlfriend, in one of his explosive social media outbursts on October 30, 2022.
“Now for Roxie Washington and Roxie Washington ALONE. I gave 2 million dollars out of my pocket for the family. To help George’s daughter…Your daughter!” he wrote in a post, and went on to attack her physical appearance, “This is how you try someone who was there for your family???? You will never get money from no one else. GOD don’t like ugly. Look at yo motherfucking hat. Yo hat ugly…You know how I feel about an ugly ass hat.”
In response to Kanye West’s accusations regarding George Floyd’s death at the Drink Champs event, Floyd’s family intended to file a lawsuit against him and his associates early in October 2022. Roxie Washington, Floyd’s daughter’s mother, brought the action on behalf of their minor daughter.
The family considered accusing him of misappropriating, defaming, causing emotional distress, and harassing them. On the programme, West had asserted that Floyd had died from fentanyl and that Derek Chauvin, a former police officer, was not to blame for his passing. Floyd’s family has already sent him a cease-and-desist letter.
Who is Roxie Washington?
Roxie Washington, 39, is a former partner of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who died on Memorial Day after a white police officer knelt on his neck for more than nine minutes.
She described George Floyd, an outstanding football player for his Texas high school team, as a “gentle giant” while speaking to the Houston Chronicle.
“People mistake him because he was so big that they thought he was always a fighting person – but he was a loving person,” Washington said.

She called him a family man and said his death was “cruel. They [cops] took him away from his daughter.”
“She’ll never see her father again.”
In order to find work and begin a new life in Minneapolis, where he worked as a truck driver and bouncer, Floyd left his hometown of Houston, Texas, in 2018.
