New York Yankee’s outfielder Aaron Judge has broken Roger Maris’ record in the American League, making his 62nd home run against Texas on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old Yankees player opened the second game of the team’s day-night doubleheader smashing the opening at-bat into the stands at left-centre.

The hulking six-foot-seven Judge has been the name on everybody’s lips as he’s become well known for smashing balls into the stands. Even Roger Maris Jr., the baseball legend’s son was impressed, saying that Judge ought to be revered for his role in hitting the most home runs in a single season.

Who is Samantha Bracksieck?

Born on August 12 1993 in San Joaquin, California, Samantha Bracksieck is an entrepreneur and the wife of Yankees baseball player Aaron Judge.

She and Judge have been together a long time, reportedly since high school. They both attended the Linden High School in Linden, California. After high school, their romance continued as they attended Fresno State University together. She graduated from the university in 2017, having done her master’s thesis on kinesiology, according to a report from People.

The two apparently kept their relationship very private until 2014, when Judge posted a picture of her, along with his parents at a Thanksgiving dinner.

After a long time together, the couple finally wed in 2021 in a private ceremony in Maui, Hawaii. Though the wedding, like their relationship, was never formally announced, the two got married in front of a small crowd, which included several of the New York Yankees players.

It’s not just baseball that the two obsess over either. The couple was spotted at the US Open in September 2022. Before that, in April 2022 the two watched the Boston Celtics take on the Brooklyn Nets during the NBA playoffs. They even attended a college football game of their alma mater Fresno State. Judge and Bracksieck’s fondness for basketball and football are known, given that the former played the two sports alongside baseball in high school.
