Republican Senator Ted Cruz made headlines on Monday, October 24, when news about his experience during the January 6 Capitol Hill attacks emerged. In his new book titled Justice Corrupted, Cruz revealed that he hid inside a closet during the riot when former President Donald Trump’s supporters stormed the historic building.

The book detailed Cruz’s experience in the January 6 attack, as Cruz revealed that James Lankford of Oklahoma was delivering a speech when members of the Senate heard the sounds of a commotion. This was followed by the Capitol Police escorting then vice-president Mike Pence away, whom the rioters wanted to hang. He detailed his entire experience in the Capitol Hill riots in the book.
