According to her website, Valentine is running on a variety of issues and says, “I’m running to put politics aside and to put people first.” According to her, LGBTQ+ rights need to be protected and Valentine believes that transgender children should be able to receive gender-affirming surgery and will therefore be blocking legislation that denies such children this kind of medical care.
Similarly, she supports changes to gun laws, advocating for gun safety reforms like, background checks, red flag laws, and preventing people who have been reported as dangerous to law enforcement by mental health providers from purchasing guns.”
Valentine has pledged to support lowering the cost of prescription drugs as well as fixing the issues that American farmers are facing by “fixing supply chain issues” so that farming becomes a less expensive industry.
Insulin, which has often been seen as the face of the issues with pharmaceutical companies is something that Valentine has vowed to fix, and has said that she will support legislation to cap the price of Insulin at $35.
