Zachariah Anderson, 42, who is accused of killing 40-year-old Rosalio Gutierrez Jr. with blunt force on May 17, 2020, is currently standing trial.

Anderson has denied any involvement in the disappearance of Gutierrez.

Zachariah Anderson is from Mequon, Wisconsin. The charges against him include first-degree intentional homicide, felonies of hiding a corpse, and stalking. The first charge is a Class A felony that carries a sentence of life in prison if convicted.

According to prosecutors, Anderson killed him because Gutierrez was having a romantic relationship with Sadie Beacham, his ex-girlfriend, and mother of his children.

Testifying during the trial on Wednesday, Anderson’s minor children said that her father had ordered her to spy on Gutierrez Jr. They also stated that from April 24 to April 25, 2020, the suspect drove to Beacham’s Germantown residence to spy on her and Gutierrez. After watching the couple through a window, the suspect reportedly went through Gutierrez’s pick-up truck and also took a picture of his license plate. Subsequently, he quickly left the scene after ringing Beacham’s doorbell.

Anderson’s daughter said that her father had used a racial slur to refer to Gutierrez before outlining a plan to stalk him. There were times when even she was drawn into her father’s spy scheme on the couple. Her father apparently requested her to record Sadie Beacham with a smartphone when she would get upset.

Sadie Beacham also testified at the trial, saying that Anderson had been harassing her for a long period after she began her relationship with Gutierrez.

The victim’s body has not been recovered. Due to the substantial blood stains discovered in his apartment, authorities have concluded that he was deceased.
