Lauren Scott, aka Dakota Skye, was an adult film actor, who was found dead at a motor home in Los Angeles on June 12. Her death came a month after she posed topless in front of a George Floyd mural in Santa Barbara, California. She was found dead by her husband. Scott, 27, face criticism for posing topless in front of the mural.
Scott, born in April 1994 in Tampa, Florida, started working in adult film industry in 2013 and appeared in over 300 films. She continued doing so as recently as last year. Back in 2017, she made headlines when she was arrested for slapping her then-boyfriend, reported New York Post.
Skye, who started her career in 2013, was nominated for Best new Starlet in 2015 at the AVN Awards, which is known as the Oscars of adult film industry. Off late, Skye was dealing with some personal struggles which reportedly included an alcohol and gentanyl addiction.
According to reports, she belong to an abusive family environment. Two of Skye%u2019s grandparents had reportedly died of COVID-19 last year. Skye’s mother died two years back.
The 27-year-old was also in the color guard and marching band in high school; she played the trumpet. Apart from this she was also a cheerleader and did both ballet and gymnastics.

As per media reports, the first name of her porn pseudonym, %u2018Dakota,%u2019 is a tribute to the actress Dakota Fanning while the last name %u2018Skye%u2019 refers to her blue eyes.
Before joining the film industry, she worked briefly as an overnight stocker. Skye first began performing in explicit hardcore fare in her late teens in 2013.
