A prominent Houston DJ died after falling from a downtown Houston high rise.
It happened at approximately 5 am on July 4th at the Camden apartments on Austin street. Darien Lewis, better known as Dj DBaby, was a well-known DJ in the Houston region and across the country, having DJed for a number of celebrities.

Her life was tragically cut short when she fell from a 13th-story balcony into the pool deck on the 9th floor. She died on Wednesday, July 13th, 10 days after her fatal accident, at the hospital the paramedics had rushed her to.
“She did things people that are 56 my age haven’t done,” Darrin Lewis, her father, stated.
On social media, there has been discussion regarding the circumstances of her fall, with some casting fingers at her girlfriend, who was present at the moment she fell.

Her partner, on the other hand, issued a message on Facebook saying she is heartbroken and had nothing to do with it. According to the article, DJ Dbaby had been drinking when she stood on the balcony furniture, lost her balance, and collapsed before she could reach her.
The family has stated that they will not speculate or answer unverified rumours.
“We’re going to trust the system, and we’re going to let them do their job,” her father declared.
FOX 26 reported that the Houston police said that it “appears to have been an unfortunate accident.”

Her family wants everyone to remember DJ Dbaby for the way she lived and the impact she left behind. They believe they’ve found solace in the Facebook tributes people have left for her.
“I would just like to continue seeing some posts where they enjoyed being with her, and around her,” her mother Terri Lewis stated.
Her brother Chase Taylor sent a message to all her fans and friends and family.

“She was that life for you guys, so now it’s everyone else’s turn to be that life for us, so we can watch those videos and those moments that we didn’t see, so we can see it and smile and reminisce on how great of a person she was,” he stated.
According to the police, they are currently actively investigating and interviewing witnesses.
