Lilan Li, 63, has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office as one of the victims in the mass shooting that took place on Saturday in Montery Park, according to CBS News. Along with Li, My Nhan, 68, has also been named as the second of the 10. The names of the remaining eight victims are yet to be revealed.

The shooter, Huu Can Tran, 72, fled the final scene of shooting in a van and died by self inflicted wounds, according to LA Police. Insights about the motive behind the shooting are also yet to be revealed. Investigation into the incident is still active.

Who was Lilan Li?

Lilan Li was born in November, 1959 and was a biological female, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.

Montery Park police responded to a report of shots firing at the Star ball Roon Dance Studio at around 10:22 pm on Saturday.

The first site of the shooting was Star ballroom Dance Studio, located on the 100 block of West Garvey Avenue in Monterey park. The police said that twenty people were shot there. The second site of attack, the Lai Lai Ballroom and Studio, located two miles away from the first site was the suspect was disarmed and the attack was stopped minutes after Tran allegedly initiated it. He then escaped the scene in a van,

Police was able to locate the van at Hawthorne and Sepulveda Boulevards near Del Amo Mall around 11 pm. SWAT teams were also deployed. And about an and 40 minutes later, Tran was allegedly found dad from self-inflicted wounds.
