Country music icon Hank Williams Jr.’s wife, Mary Jane Thomas, died Tuesday in Jupiter, Florida, aged 58.

A family member confirmed her death saying that she was suffering from a complication, possibly a blood clot, following an undisclosed medical procedure.

Florida police department spokesperson told TMZ that they received a medical call to the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa around 5 PM local time. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported Thomas to a local hospital where she was declared dead.

Mary Jane was a former model for Hawaiian Tropic suntan lotion. She married to Hank Jr in 1990. The couple first met each other in 1985 at one of Hank Jr’s concerts in Washington State.

The couple celebrated 31 years of marriage last summer. She is Hank Jr’s third wife.

The duo had two children together – daughter Katie Williams- Dunning and son Samuel Williams.

In 2020, Katie died tragically in a car accident in Tennessee at the age of 27. Her husband, Tyler Dunning was also in the vehicle, but survived the crash with critical injuries.

In February, Samuel took to social media to allege that his father –who topped the charts with songs like “All My Rowdy Friends” – and his half-sister, Holly Williams, have been subjecting him to a conservatorship since shortly after his sister died.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband Hank Jr, son Samuel, and three grandchildren.
