Neena Pacholke was a Wisconsin news anchor who shot herself to death on August 27, 2022. Reports suggest that the 27-year-old Pacholke bought a handgun around 90 minutes before shooting herself using the weapon. Daily Mail reports that just before she committed suicide, Pacholke sent a message to her former fiancé, Kyle Haase, in which she said, “I love you Kyle. I always have and always will,” further adding, “Despite how much you ruined me, I always had hope. I’m so sorry to do this to you but I can’t handle any of this pain anymore.”
Who was Neena Pacholke?
Neena Pacholke was a TV news anchor working for the ABC affiliate, WAOW-9, in Wisconsin. The 27-year-old, whose father’s name is Aaron, was born on June 29, 1995 and grew up in Tampa. Before starting her professional career as a news anchor, Pacholke studied at the University of Florida, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team. From 4:30 AM to 7 AM every weekday morning, Pacholke hosted the show Wake Up Wisconsin.

The USF W. Basketball team, following Pacholke’s death, said on Twitter, “The Bulls are heartbroken to learn of the sudden loss of our beloved former teammate Neena Pacholke (2013-16). Our thoughts and prayers are with Neena and her family during this extremely difficult time.”
Pacholke was engaged to marry Kyle Hasse. The couple had been dating for two years. Daily Mail revealed that their relationship was troubled with accusations of cheating as well as fights and heavy drinking.
It was on July 27, 2022, that Pacholke and Hasse decided to purchase the house in which the anchor ended up taking her life just one month later.
Some of her friends suggested to Daily Mail that it was Pacholke who was more invested in the romantic relationship than her partner, Hasse. One of them said, “They were always arguing, and it seemed like Neena was more in love with Kyle than he was with her”.
