The man accused of killing Naomi Irion, an 18-year-old, who vanished in March 2022 from a Walmart parking lot in Nevada, committed suicide. The man was identified as Troy Driver.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement stating that he was imprisoned in a maximum-security jail cell at the time of his suicide, and there was no way for him to interact with other convicts.
Who was Troy Driver?
Troy Driver was 43 years old. He was being held on murder charges while awaiting trial for the killing of Naomi Irion. Deputies attempted to revive Troy Driver after finding him dead on Sunday afternoon during a routine jail check.
More than two weeks after Naomi Irion went missing, her body was discovered shortly after Driver was taken into custody. In April, while awaiting trial for the alleged crime, he was denied bail after being charged with murder in relation to her death.

On March 12, 2022, Naomi Irion’s car was last spotted parked in the middle of nowhere near Fernley, Nevada. As her sister had stated, she was waiting there to board a shuttle to get to work.
In the course of the investigation, a crucial event was caught on surveillance video. A man in a gray hooded sweater walked up to Irion’s automobile at 5:24 in the morning. A minute or so later, the car was spotted exiting the parking lot with the driver inside.
The inquiry into Naomi Irion’s disappearance resulted in the filing of an amended criminal complaint in the Lyon County Justice Court for Canal Township. Troy Driver was accused of committing a number of major felonies connected to the crime, according to the updated complaint. The accusations included murder, kidnapping in the first degree, robbery, vehicle burglary, and evidence destruction.

According to the complaint, Driver kidnapped and killed Irion before attempting to cover up his crime by burying her body.
