According to authorities, George Edward Huff opened fire on George Michael Petrullo and Alexandra Abbott Huff in the vicinity of a Holiday Inn Express & Suites in the Parole neighborhood before turning the pistol on himself. The three individuals engaged in the “targeted” shooting that happened just after 2 p.m. on Friday at the Annapolis Town Centre were identified by police on Monday morning.

Who were Alexandra Huff and George Michael Petrullo?
Alexandra Huff was a 34-year-old woman from Riva and George Petrullo was a 38-year-old man from Annapolis.
A police representative, Lt. Jacklyn Davis, verified that George and Alexandra Huff were married, but she wouldn’t comment on Petrullo’s connection with the family.

On a Friday afternoon, a witness who was dining in a window booth at Mission BBQ in the busy commercial area off Riva Road reported that a man entered the establishment and claimed there had been a shooting outside. A white Acura was being fired at as it pulled out of the parking lot by a middle-aged man who was thought to be George Huff, according to Ira Winkler, a resident of Davidsonville.
After a brief period of wandering around the parking lot, Huff shot himself in the head, according to Winkler. Both George, 42, and Alexandra both away at the scene.
The 38-year-old Petrullo was able to drive to a neighboring shopping center and make a rescue call. Later, he passed away at a hospital due to his injuries. Police said the shooting was targeted and posed no threat to the public, but they were unable to give a motive for it.
The Annapolis Office of Emergency Management reports that Somerville Road was shut down due to police action on Friday afternoon. Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
