The victims of the Covenant school Nashville shooting have been identified. Among the staff members killed by Audrey Hale, the 28-year-old shooter on Monday, were Cynthia Peak, Katherine Koonce, and Mike Hill.

There were 3 children and 3 school staff members killed in the shooting on Monday in a Christian private school in Tennessee. The children have also been identified by the police. They are Hallie Scruggs, 9, William Kinney, 9, Evelyn Dieckhaus, 9.

Who were Cynthia Peak, Katherine Koonce, and Mike Hill?

Katherine Koonce an instructor who had an experience of more than 23 years as an educator. She became the headmistress of the Covenant School in 2016. Cynthia Peak was listed as a substitute teacher, while Hill was a custodian of the school.

Cynthia Peak was 61 years old while Katherine Koonce was 60 and Mike Hill was 61.

There were no further gunshot casualties, according to Don Aaron, spokesman for the Nashville Police Department, but a police officer was hurt by broken glass.

Former student Audrey Hale, 28, a transgender woman, allegedly entered the school on Monday morning and started shooting at the victims before being fatally shot by police. The shooter was dead by 10:27 a.m., police said.

Police claimed to have discovered designs and a statement outlining Hale’s plans inside her family home, claiming the attack was “targeted” as investigators seek out its purpose. Authorities stated that they are in touch with the fathers of the accused and will soon release a video of the shooting.

Speaking on the tragic incident, President Biden said the shooting was “sick,” “heartbreaking” and “a family’s worst nightmare,” in remarks on Monday afternoon.
