Cam Davis earned his first victory on the PGA Tour at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in a playoff, after one week of the longest playoffs in PGA tour history at the Travellers Championship.

This week%u2019s playoff was between Joaquin Niemann, Cam Davis, and Troy Merritt, where Davis took five extra holes deep on Sunday at Detroit Golf Club. Davis and Merritt competed for the five playoff holes- the 18th, 15th, 16th, 14th, and the 15th hole, Niemann also made the playoff but unfortunately, he was eliminated early after making bogey on the first hole.

Merritt missed a 5-foot putt for par on the fifth playoff hole, just after Davis missed his birdie putt.  Davis made eagle at the 71st hole in regulation when he holed out from a greenside bunker, he finished with another 3 to shoot 31 on the back and sneaked into the extra holes with Merritt and Niemann. 

Then Davis tapped in to win the tournament. Under the PGA Tour playoff rules, both Merritt and Niemann will share a tie for second.

Davis and Merritt went to the par-3 15th for the second playoff hole after Niemann%u2019s exit, where they both made par. Both players made par on the 16th hole and then did so again at the next and it went to the par-5 14th for the fourth playoff hole. After both the players missed before making birdie, it went back to the par-3 15th for the fifth playoff hole, where Davis finally won the tournament.
