A shooting at Allen Outlet Mall, Dallas Texas resulted in nine deaths, including that of the suspect and several injuries. Social media users are now wondering if the shooter was suffering from mental health issues.
“It wasn’t mental health that killed these people, it was an automatic rifle with bullets. I’m a former police officer, a former Army officer. These M4s, AR-15s, they’ve got to get off the streets or this is going to keep happening,” a witness said.
Several GOP leaders, defending the second amendment, are pinning the incident on mental health issues. California governor, Democrat Gavin Newsom, reminded his followers that Texas Governor Greg Abbott cut $211 million in mental health funding.

There is no evidence that the Allen Outlet Mall suspect was suffering from mental health issues.
“Right on cue, Republicans are blaming the latest gun massacres on mental health, instead of guns But Greg Abbott was the one who cut $211 MILLION in mental health funding 205 House Republicans voted AGAINST mental health services in schools,” a Twitter user said.

News anchor Megyn Kelly, defending gun rights, tweeted: “Serious q for gun control advocates: you’ve failed to effect change. Pls face it. You can’t do it, thx to the 2A. We’re all well aware you don’t like that fact, but fact it is. What’s next? Must we just stay here sad, concerned, lamenting? Could we possibly talk OTHER SOLUTIONS?
She was trolled on Twitter.
“8 people were blown apart in my hometown for making the same choice as me to go to the mall today and Megyn Kelly is tired of being sad about it,” a Twitter user said.
“All of this tweeting every time a bunch of people get killed at the mall has been so tough on Megyn Kelly. Can’t we forget about the fresh corpses for two little minutes and consider what’s best for HER?” another one added.
