Democratic Representative from Texas
Joaquin Castro tweeted on Thursday, saying he was preparing legislation that would
prevent any chances of incumbent President Donald Trump’s being borne by any
federal building or property.

“In addition to supporting the
impeachment and removal of Donald Trump, I am also preparing legislation that
would prohibit any federal building or property from being named after
President Donald J. Trump”, Castro tweeted, alleging further that Trump “incited
an insurrection that damaged some of our nation’s most significant and sacred
federal property” in a later tweet.

Urging the populace to learn from its
past, the lawmaker stressed upon ensuring that Trump does not become a confederate
symbol for the future generations.

The Democrat’s building name ban
proposal was supported by many on social media, who indicated that the measure
would really get under the president’s skin.

This is not the first instance of
Castro willing to draw an attacking stance towards Trump, as he shared earlier
on Thursday a statement by incoming Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer, calling
for the immediate removal of Trump from office.
