A woman is dead after either jumping or falling to her death at a parking structure in Disneyland on Saturday, February 18. The woman was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital.

The incident happened at the Mickey and Friends parking structure. Anaheim Police Department Sgt John McClintock said that the police arrived after someone reported the incident. The victim was identified only as an adult female. She either “fell or leapt” from the parking structure around 6:50 p.m.  It was not immediately clear if the woman was a guest at Disneyland Resort.

Mickey and Friends parking structure was inaugurated in 2001 in California. It was the largest in the state at that time. Since then, several people have died in that structure. This is not the first incident that has happened in that structure. Several deaths have taken place already.

In 2010, Ghassan Trabulsi of Monrovia was found dead inside the parking structure. In 2012, a 23-year-old man died by suicide there and another was discovered dead in 2016.

The most recent incident, before Saturday, happened in December 2022. School principal Chris Christensen, 51, jumped to death from the structure. According to NBC Los Angeles, he was an elementary school principal in California’s Huntington Beach and was reportedly facing child endangerment accusations.

He was arrested in November of the same year, for “suspicion of misdemeanor child endangerment and battery.” He denied the charges against him in a Facebook post on December 3. He wrote in the post, “I hate when people leave this Earth with so many unanswered questions. So, I hope this provides some insight and perspective,” adding, “I am on the brink of losing my job. So, here I am…writing my final FB post to all of you. I need you all to know that a gentle, kind, loving, and sincerely good man has been destroyed by one unfortunate night.”

A number of social media users have reacted. One person said, “Didn’t that happen in December?” Another one said, “This is the 2nd incident on the same parking structure. Life is hard these days.” A Twitter user said, “Tallest easiest accessible structure in Anaheim. I don’t blame them. Disney has to put up nets now.” Another asked, “Coincidence or Serial killer? What’s going on there?” One enquired, “Please tell me she’s not a teacher.”
