Police are searching for a suspect who fled the scene in a car after at least four people were shot in Woodbridge, Virginia, on Friday afternoon, according to police. The incident took place inside a residence in the 14700 block of Birchdale Avenue.

The extent of the victims’ injuries is yet unknown while the ages of the victims’ ages were not available yet. The police are yet to make any arrests. Residents should expect a police presence in the area, Prince William County police said.

The police department later said that the call came in shortly before 2:25 p.m. Officers found the four people who’d been shot. Police said the incident was isolated to the home and they did not believe the shooting to be a random act.

The perpetrator of the shooting did not appear to be in the neighborhood as of 4:24 p.m., according to the department.

No schools were placed on lockdown as a result of the event, according to a representative for Prince William County Public Schools; however, Neabsco Elementary School was given a temporary “secure the building” status. Nevertheless, the school was able to dismiss on time.

Meanwhile, a shooting near the Clifton Heights area left a lady dead and a man hurt, according to authorities.

According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, a shooting was reported in the 600 block of Country Club Road on Friday about 2:00 p.m.

When the police came, they reportedly discovered a woman with a gunshot wound; they declared her dead at the scene.

A male with several gunshot wounds was also discovered by police, and he was transferred to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said it’s unclear whether the victims are acquainted or if everyone involved has been found. According to the police, it does seem like both people reside there.
