The teaser introduces the protagonist Shang chi, his father and Ten Rings gang leaders Wenwu and his best friend Katy.

Marvel Entertainment took to Twitter and shared the teaser. They captioned the tweet, "Watch the brand new teaser trailer for Marvel Studios’ "@ShangChi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" and experience it only in theatres September 3."

The two-minute-long teaser shows Shang chi's father trying to convince him to join the Ten Rings gang and says "Son, it is time for you to take your place by my side."

However, he has no interest in joining the group. The trailer also ends on Marvel's signature comical note.

"Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" is set to release in theatres worldwide on September 3, 2021.
